These gatherings not only provide entertainment but also strengthen the bonds that make Delta a unique and welcoming place to live.
Celebrating Our Agricultural Roots
The Delta County Fair & Rodeo is a prime example of our community’s dedication to honoring its agricultural heritage. Scheduled for August 1–9, 2026, at the Delta County Fairgrounds in Hotchkiss, this event showcases 4-H and FFA youth presenting their livestock and projects. Community members also participate by exhibiting handicrafts, homegrown items, and arts and crafts. As the largest livestock show in Western Colorado, the fair offers a CPRA Rodeo that promises fun for all attendees. Learn more about the Delta County Fair & Rodeo.
Fostering Community Connections
Local organizations like the Delta Street Rodders exemplify the spirit of community engagement. With monthly potluck meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, members gather to share food, plan events, and swap stories. During warmer months, they host Show & Shine events at the Delta Sonic, inviting car enthusiasts and families to enjoy classic vehicles and good company. These activities not only celebrate a shared passion for automobiles but also contribute to local charities, reinforcing the club’s commitment to giving back.
